Get Carried Away with Passion Pit!

Yikes! It’s been nearly a month since my last blog entry 🙁 I’ve been busy with my new job and I suppose I got a bit lazy but I’ve been inspired by another music mistress to write again! AND NOW, without further ado, I give you my review 😐
For those that don’t know, Passion Pit are an Indie-pop band out of Massachusetts, with a penchant for danceable beats. They have released 2 albums so far with 8 singles peeking the charts including “Carried Away.”
“Carried Away” is a great choice for their second single off the album Gossamer. Listening to the song, you can tell the lead singer is saying some really moving things in his lyrics about relationships with people in general. It’s without question, a song that is a breath of fresh air from most mainstream pop songs. I love how the music is carefree masks the somewhat dark lyrics; great juxtaposition. Another thing to take note of is Sophia Bush, of One Tree Hill fame (Love OTH!!) is in the music video!! So obviously, this is a win.
