Conor Maynard Feat. Wiley – Animal
Conor Maynard is a British pop singer new to the music business; his debut album Contrast was released July 2012. The album is produced by the likes of Ne-Yo, Stargate, and as I mentioned before, Pharrell Williams to name a few of the heavy weights in the music industry today. Rather than have dumb comparisons to Justin Bieber, I believe Conor is very talented and a worthy adversary to the likes of Justin Timberlake. Seriously, first hearing his voice, I immediately thought of J.T. The single “Animal” with the help of rapper Wiley (Sidenote: Wiley has Caribbean roots to Trinidad which is an instant win for me), creates a hard-hitting club number that exudes confidence in his own skin. What can I say? The song is just catchy! Mix a little bit of Justin Timberlake with Pharrell Williams’ unique production style and you get Conor Maynard!
Further research on Conor, I discovered he was found on Youtube hence the Justin Bieber comparisons. However, I’m linking his rendition of “Mother Lover” (Justin Timberlake tribute!!) below. Enjoy!
